Superior No. 1260 is a high activity flux designed for low temperature soldering of aluminum and aluminum alloys. Effective in joining aluminum to most ferrous and non-ferrous alloys. No. 1260 is organic based and chloride-free. Its form is a clear amber, viscous liquid. Residues can be washed with hot water. Can be used in soldering aluminum to difficult-to-solder metals, such as stainless steel, kovar and nickel. Preferred solders are 91Sn/9Zn and other tin/zinc alloy combinations. Packaged in 55-gallon drums, 5-gallon pails and 1-gallon jugs. |
