Stainless Steel Welding Backup Flux
Superior No. 9 is a stainless steel backup flux for welding of stainless steel, high chromium ferrous alloys and low Nickel alloys. It provides significant oxide protection and improves weld quality.

Superior Stainless Steel Backup flux is RoHS compliant.
Superior No. 9 Stainless Steel Backup flux is formulated for welding of stainless steel using gas, inert-gas, or metallic arc welding processes. This flux prevents oxide inclusion formation; protects the backside from oxidation; supports the molten metal; and reduces burn-through. Using a stainless steel backup flux is the most cost-effective alternative for backside welding protection in places where Nitrogen, Argon or other costly gases cannot be used, as well as when back-up bars and back-up tape cannot be used.
